didnt he apologize like..that day... saying that?s not what he meant?
and then TWO other officials, including the police chief, said that that?s not how they train their officers, and that they know it has nothing to do with clothing?
Aren?t we over this issue that was never really an issue??
Once again 18-25 year olds find a new way to pretend to make a change.
Yes, we know youve never had to fight for anything in your life. Yes we know you want to look like you care about something, that?s what makes you look cool these days. And yes, we know you?re going through the same "why am I here?" "what is my purpose" issues that every 18-25 year old goes through after school. but protesting a flubbed line doesn?t give your life meaning. neither does any other bulls*** reason to protest.
there?s plenty of real, legitimate issues in the world to protest, but if you want to water down the effectiveness of protests by having one every time you feel insulted, go for it. I'm sure we're allllll gunna see a dip in rape statistics after this. I'm sure thousands of women are going "ohhHHhh its NOT my clothes" like they didnt already know. And rapists everywhere are trembling that people are gunna find out that its not about how they dress. Because my God, if one man accidentally says something, that means everyone everywhere believes it. Right?
making up a cause is not the same as taking up a cause
but then again, if they took up a REAL cause, they couldn?t leave it a year from now when it?s not cool/fun anymore, and have the world would be the same. I mean, if you don't make an impact..because theres none to make... then you didnt fail right?
What are you bitching about. If I lived in any town other than Petawawa, I'd be more than happy to watch the girls walk around scantily clad as a "protest." If that is their idea of a protest, they can protest every fucking day!
