Canucks meet Chicago again: West playoffs

The Vancouver Canucks will have a third straight playoff meeting with the Chicago Blackhawks, a result of Sunday's final NHL regular season games.

This is the first-round matchup that had to happen. The Blackhawks will elevate their game for the playoffs and they've got mojo on their side, having put the Caucks out the last two years. The Canucks don't have mojo, but they do have Mo (as in momentum) coming off a spectacular season.

But I don't think the Blackhawks will ultimately be able to match the depth of the Canucks. Getting in Luongo's face has worked for them in the past, but Vancouver won't take the bait--they don't need to with their lethal power play. Abd Luongo and Kesler have seen the results of settling down and focusing on the game instead of the refs.

The Nucks will take this series. The have to go to he finals where they will lose 4 - 2. And Vancouver gets it's heart broken again.
