Mark this day as the day I found a lawyer I .
Good article. Though I'd rather it read 'spends time torturing spammers'.
Fixed...
so in other words: man quits job, gets new job.
We'd probably see more of these type of suits if more states enacted the really tough anti-spam laws that California has. More power to him. Back when I lived in Beantown and ran an ISP with a partner, we ended up selling our business because it was either that or spend one million dollars upgrading our network and servers, just to deal with the spam traffic, which was severely affecting our ability to provide service to our customers. We were constantly upgrading our spamfilters to deal with the deluge of crap.
That's one million dollars that we'd never see a return on because the people who were pounding our network with spam mail were not paying customers. Except the times when some idiot had an open relay on their co-lo server and had to pay huge traffic costs because the spammers were using it.
Spammers cause a lot of costs to the industry, and the more attorney's harassing them (yes, I know it is pissing in an ocean of piss) the better.
Later...I'm going to get my penis and breasts enlarged and order some viagra. It's party time!
He makes it like he's some sort of hero of the people but the way he goes about it just shows he's no better than the spammers. He sues them just enough to make it worth the spammers while to settle rather than actually doing something that will put the spammers out of business. The guy's a big, fat phony.
Now if there only was a way to get those blasted Nigerian 147 scammers and spammers. Crooks who do actual harm than just litter inboxes
Only to people who are both greedy and clueless.
