KABUL - An Afghan border policeman killed six American servicemen during a training mission Monday, underscoring one of the risks in a U.S.-led program to educate enough recruits to turn over the lead for security to Afghan forces by 2014.

No, that's what happens when politically correct idiots in Washington give orders to the military to cuddle up with people they should be shooting.

This is what happens when you don't convert to Islam

So you oppose the American military training the Afghan police? Funny, we agree. But for different reasons.

Yes, I do. Because the Afghans are more into tribal identity than anything else and we're trying to impose upon ourselves the delusion that these people can work together for a national identity that only exists in politically correct drivel from the State Department.

As a group? Of course not. To borrow a phrase, the best thing we can do in the case of Afghanistan is to remind them that we know where they are and that we know what to bomb and then leave and let them sort out the rest.

The place has been a meat grinder for anyone who's bothered with it since the time of Alexander.

To formulate a successful Afghan policy one must not ignore their history.

How about we just LEAVE? If we can't train them and what is the point of staying there?

Afghanistan is a lightning rod for Jihadi's from across the world. They flock over there to die a heroes death under US and Allied guns. Its better they go there to be killed by our armies than fly aircraft into our buildings killing our women, children and other non-combatants.

You really want the War on Terrorism a perpetual war?

Unless you haven't noticed. The Jihadis 'aint giving up. Peace isn't going to be had unless they stop wanting to kill us and their reasons for fighting us are the worst possible ones. Religious.

I'm sure the US will manage quite well with you staying on the sidelines and whining Doc. Plenty of other Yanks will sign the dotted line to fight those who want to kill your civilians.

How about finding a peaceful way?

We kill them and they make more. Rince and repeat. We try to win the hearts and minds of Afgans, but we kill their civilians. Which creates more enemies. Remember we created Usama bin Laden and his terrorists due to American arrogance during the Cold War. I guess it's a curse.

Some the Cold war allies have now turned into our enemies. Times change. The Tallies et al only fought with us because they hated the Russians more than they hated us. That's the way things go. The Brits and the Germans were allies for centuries. Until WW1.

Do you really want to see your son die in Afghanistan and the his son and his.......?

    It has to end.

If we leave from the middle east and central Asia. Things will be much calmer.

It won't be calmer for the middle east and central Asia, just for us for a while.
