Harper killed Gainey!!
In the conservatory with the lead pipe.
And the sad thing is, I am not even that biased and I can see through the lies.
Derb what would be the purpose of holding off the report? It's not like the Consrvatives had anything to loose by this report going public. It sounds more more like a mix up to me.
Sounding like a slip of the tongue to me saying norway instead of france but to the cons here it was a deliberate error. Lets not forget that most of them still post photos of Chretien goofing around with a backwards helmet and consider it hefty newsworthy.
Harper is PM. Thats makes everything he does newsworthy and subject to scrutiny. Contrary to con opinion him missing a photo made worldwide headlines and did reflect on us as a country.
Don't you notice that no matter what seems to happen to Harper its always called "not news worthy" or "media bias".
To me its fair play. When the Libs were in charge everything they did was vilified and now its time Harper was subjected to the same treatment he gave everybody else when he was in opposition.
If it wasn't important then why did they want it quashed until after the campaign?

.............. huh? Well i don't about any other stories in particular but this one really doesn't seem to serve any purpose in my mind. The CBC is reporting on a report that was suposidly surpressed by the PMO even though everyone involved has stated publicly that it was just a misunderstanding. If the CBC wants to some how prove otherwise where is the evidence? Where's the motive? What purpose would it have served to not release the report. What diffrence would it have made?
It was common knowalge at the time that there was a black out on Government releases of information for the purpose of the election. That's not an uncommon thing.

Why would they quash it until after the campaign? I don't think it was even suggested by the PMO that the report should be quashed. Are there any emails from the PMO to that effect? I might even bite into this if there was but all the CBC has is an email from an underling. Even in Massons own words:
"We had to ask the question in order to know. There was confusion that ensued. We interpreted it as though we were part of this period of restraint."
She also said the incident doesn't indicate any increasing political control of the board. "We're an independent organization. It's not a politicized organization."
Again thought it still seems that no matter what gets reported about Harper they claim the same old story of left wing bias. They do so because then whenever the press reports something bad they can simply point and say "its a media campaign against them".
why this then?

Thats not the PMO, like I said it's just some underling. Is that the best the CBC can do?
