The Canadian dollar tumbled more than two cents against the U.S. dollar in early trading before cutting its losses by about half to trade at 79.33 US at noon ET.
Maybe by summer it'll be down to .63 again. Back in 1994 when I came up it was pretty awesome for the wife and I to eat at McDonalds and pay with a US$20 and we got over CDN$20 back in change! Walking out with more than you walked in with (at least in face value) was pretty damned cool!
I have no trust in the U.S. dollar anymore, or the economy at least for the next 3 to 5 years.
Oooh, .73 on the US dollar? Time for me to come up and visit again.
Rub it in

Actually, it .7933, not .73 cents.
I would be jumping in the streets if it was though, because I'm sitting on several thousand in US dollars that I'd like to change.

Hey, it's good news for tourism in a down economy.
