OTTAWA -- Stephen Harper says he will allow the release of a report on the true cost of the Afghan war -- information that could dash his hopes for a majority government. Parliamentary budget officer Kevin Page has tallied the full cost of the mission

Opposition (regardless of who is in power) will bitch about not spending on the troops and for sending us into harms way without proper funding, yet they scream for blood because of the cost of the war.

Are the Liberals are prepared to accept the blame for the cost of Chretien's war? I can't see this hurting the CPC.
Great work at defusing this issue though. Just another example of how the other parties are still playing checkers when the CPC is playing chess.
