Singer-actor Jerry Reed dies

R.I.P. Jerry. Top notch entertainer,
one hell of a finger-picker..one of the very best.
Chet Atkins sure thought so, too.

His role as Henry Winkler's evil counterpart in "The Waterboy" deserved some kind of an award, and not just another Razzie either. Hollywood never figured out that Jerry was right and when you're hot you're hot, and when you're not, you're not. Whoa, some fuckin' heavy there karma man.

That is so weird. I just saw Smokey and the Bandit for the first time in YEARS the other night and wondered if he was still alive.

whats even more weird is that I was half watching it last night on TV.. TCM
