A group called Ultima Generazione or Last Generation have poured what they described as a charcoal-based black liquid into the water of the Barcaccia fountain at the base of the Spanish Steps in central Rome.

I'm so sick of these "activists" intentionally vandalising artworks and monuments to make their point.
Use that time and energy in a positive way not a destructive way.

I agree. It used to get attention, with no real harm. Now it's just pointless.
