A Canadian-born researcher is helping to launch the first substantial study of transgender athletes in a bid to better understand how transitioning and hormone therapy affects athletic performance.
I look at this like, Transgenders should compete against Transgenders. This is a lot like Fighting, we wouldn't expect a Jose Aldo to fight a Brock Lesner... Depending on where you are competing, being transgender would give you an unfair advantage.

But that is an opinion. An actual study would tell us if; there is any advantage or disadvantage to transgenders competing against their new sex competitors, and if there is, if transgenders competing against other transgenders needs to be a like/like match up or not. Perhaps a fifth category for non-gendered people needs to exist.
We can think we know what needs to be, but we can't know without a study first. Humans are by nature biased, and science by design is unbiased.
For example, I wouldn't put Jelena Mrdjenovich in a ring against many men, let alone a transgender woman.

Well you don't self identify as any of the 260 odd accredited gender non specific categories so you my friend have no right to an opinion let alone to voice one. Even if it is the sane opinion come to think of it sane opinions are not welcome in many conversations because logic or rational thoughts hurts peoples feelings or something like that.

The time when 'opinions' ruled society is what we refer to as 'the dark ages'. People were of the opinion that the Moon was made of green cheese.
Then we decided to put our opinions aside, and operate from fact based decisions. I'm not saying anyone shouldn't have an opinion. Just that opinions are not good substitutes for facts.
So opinions don't count at all. The whey if someone self identifies as (fill in the blank) it is their opinion that the rest of society should follow along. Fact of them being born Male or Female makes no difference.

*Buysexual means I can't have sex for free, I'll buy it.

It's an opinion that birth gender makes no difference to who they are, when science says it actually does matter quite a bit. Society has forced us to assume there are only two genders, and we must comply with that narrow definition. Science shows us there are multiple combinations beyond those two.
Your opinion is your opinion, but using that opinion to force a change to someone else's behavior is starting to become unacceptable to society. How many suicides are the result of someone forced into fitting the stereotype that society dictates?
So long as they aren't hurting anyone else, who cares how someone dresses, or acts, or loves?
This is valueless. They need another category for transgender athletes only. Let them run and compete against one another.
Or... how to start an end of race cat fight.
This is valueless.
How could you know, before the study is complete?

But is it one of the 260+ accredited non specific categories for identification? Sorry I don't have an updated list of those.
