"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spent plenty of air time explaining 'farting cows,' as she defended her so-called Green New Deal on the premiere of Showtime's "Desus & Mero."

According to an initial outline of the measure, the freshman Democrat and Sen. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) said they "set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren't sure that we'll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast."

The language was later changed to 'emissions from cows...'"

Its just a fact that animals in intensive livestock operations produce a lot of methane gas in addition to contaminating soil and groundwater with extreme amounts of animal shit. Childish giggling about farting cows doesnt change any of that.

No, but Canada could, if we didn't have some fucking retard puss-willy for PM. A university on our East Coast has figured out that red seaweed in cattle feed stock would vastly reduce the amount of escaping methane from cow farts to virtually zero. Unfortunately, the idiot-boy we have for PM is more interested in fleecing the tax payer than actually reducing carbon emissions.

I don't understand, why is it trudeau's fault if the cattle farmers don't use it?

I don't understand, why is it trudeau's fault if the cattle farmers don't use it?Ummm, need to promote it? Have you heard of it before now? I mean I for one would like to believe that Groper isn't just in for the tax but it's ridiculous that red seaweed isn't being heavily promoted as the solution to methane emissions from cows. Instead, every "important" announcement from Groper costs Canada, large. Trudeau isn't about solutions, he's only interested in carbon taxation. If you doubt that, just ask Nunavut.
I mean, is the goal to reduce carbon emissions or not?

Yeah, this is who I'll trust when she tells me the world's going to end in 12 years if we don't stop cows from farting, build fast rail to replace planes and give people who don't want to work a living wage.

Why would I? I'm not a cattle farmer.

If it's as good as you say, I agree. If I were him, or a representative, I'd be extolling the properties as a way for farmers to have drastically reduced carbon tax, and put provisions in to count as a break for it.
