A Vancouver business is suing its strata for refusing to allow the opening of a Moby Dick fish and chips franchise in part because, according to a lawsuit filed in B.C. Supreme Court, the name contains an 'offensive term.'
But just before Moby Dick was to take over the property, court documents allege the building's strata council refused to allow the restaurant to open for a number of reasons � one of which was the restaurant name contained the word "dick," an "offensive term."
Yet another word being used in a completely different context here to add to the PC dictionary.
They've had a White Rock location for many years and no one has ever raised a stink about it that I've ever heard.
It was funny today on the noon news on Global that they talked about this "issue" and started naming famous people named Dick in sports and entertainment, which of course led to banter about how Dick is a nickname for people named Richard.
