So Harper isn't western enough? I mean, he only lived in Calgary for most of his life and is only the PM after all.

The thing about BC is that if you go back and look at the past five or six national elections, the conservatives/reform/alliance has been about level with the liberals or the NDP. But when voting actually happens, BC turns to the right.

Albeta is the West. That's why Oily is smiling.
Joe Clark was born in Alberta too but Joe Clark makes Oily frown.

Yes.. and Quebec is so happy that they have a whole party dedicated to leaving Canada.

What's the thread topic: B.C. residents favour Conservatives
Who are the Conservatives? Reform and Conservative.

Joe Clark was from Alberta but I doubt many who now call themselves Conservative want to call him a Conservative anymore.

So how did you come up with that senario? I am not.. pour répéter not a separatist never have been never will be.. and no getting cash from Ottawa was not the ideology of the separatists.. The thing you English people don't understand is the Quebec history, culture, way of life and most of all the need to protect our language.. as I have said on many occasion.. until English is threatened it will not be an issue for you.. but it will be threatened and then we will see how you react.. I for one will rise to defend it.. .. that aside Harper is playing pork barrel politics and trying to win votes by handing out goodies.. something he campaigned on as being against.. but then most things he was supposedly against he is playing a different tune to these days.. so I suppose he will have to pay the piper...
c'est la vie.. fini!

I have no doubt the majority of those 20,000 displaced Forestry workers will all vote Conservative.

When looking at the regions, the Conservatives have a firm lead in Ontario — 43 per cent of Ontarians would vote Conservative compared to 34 per cent Liberal.

In Quebec, the Conservatives are second to the Bloc, which has 34 per cent of the vote, compared to 23 for the Conservatives and 22 for the Liberals.
