Lemmy Lemmy:

ROTFL No. People who shop at 7-11 are the worst kind of street trash, yet they still don't realize that they are the losers.

WTF?!?!?! Potheads are the worst kind of street trash, yet they still don't realize that they are the losers.
I don't smoke, but my eyes aren't closed. I don't think you have any idea how many people around you indulge in the occasional puff.

One of my best friends is very high up in the bank she works at. Want a loan? You'll have to convince her. A couple of puffs on her girly little bong helps her sleep at night. Quite hyper, a good part of the reason she is so succesfull with the bank, covers twice as much ground as anybody else in an eight hour period. When partying with friends, she prefers Mary Jane to that nasty alchohol stuff you drink.

That's one example, I know a couple of business owners with people working for them, quite a few succesful oilemen, the list goes on.

Your posts kind of highlite your ignorance on the subject. The stuff is no worse than alchohol or tobbacco. Or are you against banning those as well?

All the stories you tell of your "potheads" could easily be applied to drunks.

I had a joint this afternoon and humped the neighbors cat. What should I use on my scratches?

More weed.

here's something you can try at work this monday....

Tell everyone that you were on an internet forum writing things like "The primary and foremost reason why I don't smoke pot is because smoking pot is for losers!"

Then pay attention to how many people agree with you, and how many passively agree with you by smiling and not saying a damn thing....whenever I do this, I have yet to see a 50% response in favor for the legalization of marijuana.

Co-workers are notoriously lame like that.

I would say most people who drink end up being losers...would rather be around a toker than a drinker anyday.

I love you Mary Jane

i work with a great group of people that all love life. But frankly they could care less about all of the technical data about marijuana, deep down inside they know that they dont smoke because its for losers.

Considering your attiutude about it, they probably have never mentioned it to you. Also, it's illegal--I'm not sure too many people would go to work and talk about it.

Besides, if it's for losers is a judgment call on your part, and irrelevant to the legality question.

Where did she even say anything like that?

It's called a straw man argument. Look into it.

Actually there is a theory that legalizing drugs in general will halt the gang wars... not sure, but there was quite a debate on CBC this morning.. a prof at Harvard supports legalization..

generate income from taxing the stuff.

There's the problem, tax, I could never support it if its taxed. It would just become an change for the government to take our money and get more involved in people lives.

Well, you're asking a leading question when you include, in the question, a conclusion like "pot smoking is for losers." Maybe you either: a) work with uptight folks; b) hang around with uptight folks.

Maybe it's kinda like: "Why do you always take two Baptists on a fishing trip?"

Actually, I didn't ask any question at all.

But, lets pretend that I did for conversation sake...

...If I was to ask a "leading question" then look for general approval, then I think that is distinctly different than asking a "leading question" then extract detailed conclusions from detailed answers.

So you think that taxes are more invasive than being raided by police? Very interesting. Please explain more.

good point.

It is not surprising when left wing partisans promptly bring up the idea of taxation.

They are always looking for another pocket to dip their fingers into.

if they switch from raiding grow ops to taxing the consumer, then it is absolutely more invasive.
