Classy, real classy...stupid thugs trying to bully voters.
It sounds like something that happens in the Ivory Coast or some other third world banana republic, not Canada.

sandorski sandorski: Whether the Youth generally Vote one way or the other is Moot. "Generally" is not "Completely". Let's see. If generally, the majority of the youth vote isn't CPC, and the Liberals are neck to neck with the NDP in a lot of races, why jump to blame CPC members?

This riding (St. John's in Ontario) is between the Liberals and the Conservatives. The NDP is a distant 3rd in the race. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Paul%2 ... istrict%29If it was an NDP kid, why wouldn't they attack conservative homes?[/quote] Who knows? Maybe they just hate who lives there? Like I said, pinning this on ANY party is silly.

I live in Stephen Harper's riding. Last election most of his signs on the Southland Drive boulevard near where I live were defaced with spray-painted swastikas and the like. Ugly, and they replaced the signs fairly quickly and got on with it. But they didn't go to the media and act like a bunch of pussies about the whole thing. Be nice one day if the Libs, Dippers, and Salad-Tossers grew a set in the same way instead of constantly whining about 'intimidation' every time someone disagrees with them.
Vandalizing cars and houses though is something else. At that stage it's probably not even political, it's more like just another handful of assholes getting up to bad things simply because it's warmer at night-time now. If it weren't political signs and keying cars they'd be up their usual bullshit of spray painting fences and bridge abutments. Idiots like this are useless assholes 24/7 and they probably don't even know, or care, that an election's on right now. Spring fever, most likely, among the more knuckle-dragging members of our society.

They are kicking the CPC signs down every other night on a house just around the corner from us on the main drag. All parties in my area are complaining about the same thing in very equal degrees. We get the calls.
The Toronto Star ( being that CPC hating rag it's become) have just cherry-picked one particular set of circumstances that have already been oft repeated in a CPC/NDP/Green party setting elsewhere in the GTA. But they have just chosen a partisan (or anti-CPC) slant on this story for a change.
I pity the Star and Globe as they will all be crying from the 3rd May on. All that partisan crying they have done daily will show them for what they are, biased, left-leaning rags masquerading as newspapers.

Slashing Tires is somewhat more troublesome than Defacing Signs. Neither is unacceptable, but they are not equivalent acts.

Tire slashings and vehicle entries happen even when there isn't an election.
We have enough idiots around who get kicks out of destroying other peoples property all year round.
The Toronto Star just don't report it then. It only gets space when it fits into their petty agenda(s).
